Architects make drawings like this before a house is built, to show the owners what it will look like. Wight made this design for a house which was completed on the north side of Chicago in 1876. His design included furniture and interiors, as well as the red brick exterior. This home was called ‚ÄúUlmenheim,‚Äù meaning ‚Äúhome under the elms.‚Äù Large homes were popular at the time. How many rooms do you think were in this house?
